Bonus Opportunity!

The first student to post a correct response to this question will receive two extra-credit points added to the upcoming test: What member of the Constitutional Convention called for "prayers imploring the assistance of heaven"? Answer who, when (exact date), and why – and provide a reference citation.

  1. This was said by Benjamin Franklin on July 28, 1787... After 5 weeks of the Constitutional Convention meeting they had gotten no where and could come to no agreement. The large states wanted congressional representation to be based on population while the small states wanted the "one state one vote" rule. Benjamin Franklin at the sat back and had been quiet through most of this when he finally did speak this is the one thing that was remembered... "Prayers imploring the assistance of heaven."
