Homework 1, Due October 19, 2012

As we continue our discussion of the history of Rome I want you to consider the enormous amount of dedication and sacrifice it must have taken for the democratic system to have been adopted - and then notice how quickly the Romans lost it with the dawn of the age of emperors. The right to choose our representatives in government is sacred and includes an incredible responsibility. Voters absolutely must make an honest effort to understand the issues and carefully consider the longterm effects of the proposed plans in order to make a reasonable choice. For example, polls conducted this week on college campuses in states where key elections are being held found that many of the students were unaware of the positions of the candidates - on issues the students said they cared about! (I suppose we can all be thankful that the youth voter turnout is consistently low).

This week's assignment is an exercise in democracy. I want you to visit the site http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Elections/fullpage?id=17012629 to view an analysis of the upcoming election. Then I want you to choose any election on the ABC News site and report back on it. Who is the incumbent, who is the challenger (include the party affiliation) and who does ABC News think will win? Then find a news story about the campaign and share what you learn (cite your source). Finally, tell us who you think should be elected (or good/bad points about both candidates if you wish to keep your politics a secret).

Remember that the minimum requirement is 250 words - you don't have to write a book! Your responses to your classmates have been good; keep up the good work!

  1. The incumbent of the 2012 election I chose is Barack Obama of the Democratic Party. His challenger is Mitt Romney of the Republican Party. At this moment ABC news source has President Barack Obama winning the upcoming election. In the presidential debate last night ABC news source said the Obama Was quote "Fired up and ready to go". The news source said that although Romney had many great points and struck hard against Obama that Obama had the greatest debate so far. News source focused on one subject that being of Libya that Obama used that could have been a very touching sore subject that Romney attacked him with. Instead Obama turned it into a slam dunk and gained a lot of momentum and pulled a lot of voters to him off his responses and such energy he displayed. In my opinion I think Governor Romney should be elected for presidential office of 2012. One reason is the fact of look where wave gotten with president Obama in the past four years, 16 trillion dollars in debt!! In the next four years if Obama is reelected it will 20 trillion dollars. This is not a road America needs to take. We need a president with budgeting knowledge and a plan to get The United States back on its feet and back to the top of the list where we should be. Romney is a great leader and a republican I agree with many of his choices and plans although not all of them more than I do with Obama.

  2. The person I chose to write about for this assignment is governor Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney is a Republican running against the current President, Barrack Obama for the raise for the 2012 Presidential election. The battle for 270 electoral votes is learning more towards President Barrack Obama. While Obama is leading in electoral votes, Mitt Romney actually leads in the number of states he won. There is much more red on the map than blue. Currently, President Obama has 237 electoral votes, while governor Romney has 191. ABC electoral collage estimates that Obama will win the Presidential election 255 Obama to 206 Romney, but ABC does agree that this is a very tight race and Romney still has a chance to win. One pole does say that Romney has 48% of the votes and Romney has 49% of the votes. Witch does mean that he can still catch up. I think the next president should be Mitt Romney. I think this because Obama has had four years to fix this country and I feel like he’s just messed it up even more. I think someone else needs a shot at president because Obama wasn’t a very good one in my opinion. I support Mitt Romney for a number of reasons. The first one being, he is pro-life, which means he doesn’t believe in abortion and he doesn’t support gay marriage. These things are both wrong and not Biblical at all. I think Mitt Romney would be a great leader for our country.

  3. The upcoming election of 2012 will be one to never forget. The incumbent of this race is President Barack Obama of the Democratic Party. The competitor of the president is Mitt Romney of the Republican Party. According to ABC news, the guess is that Obama will win the election. Their opinion was that Obama's debate won, hands down.

During the town hall debate, a woman asked what the future president would do to restore the equality of genders in the workplace. In the last 4 years, women have been rejected at job interviews because of their gender. However, at the debate, Romney said that women and men both should be treated equally when it comes to occupational decisions. A former staff member of his said that the women who worked for Romney were very pleased of the way he respected them and by his humanity and sensitivity toward the female gender. Today (October 17), Romney's campaign released a video called "Cabinet Members-Humanity," which showed three different former aides of his work, all three female, who testified for his impartiality to the two genders. (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/obama-mocks-romney-iowa-ohio-binders/story?id=17499401#.UH9rQ5G9KSO)

In my opinion, I feel that Mitt Romney should be elected for the 2012 election. One reason is because Romney says that, if elected, he will end federal aid to Plan Parenthood. However, President Obama says that he supports abortion. But the only thing we know about the results of the election is that God has a plan for the United States. 4. For this week assignment I decided to write about the election for president that is happening now in 2012.
There are two candidates running for presidency, Mitt Romney of the Republican Party and Barack Obama of the Democratic Party, which is trying to be re-elected for more 4 years.
According to ABC news the president Barack Obama has more chance to win than his opponent Mitt Romney. As we can see on the map at ABC news web site there are more states that prefer the Republicans than states that prefer the Democratic, however, the president Barack Obama has 237 points and Mitt Romney 191. In other words Barack Obama might win this election.
Since I am not American and I arrived here some months ago, I do not have too much to say about both candidates because I have not seen any of them in action and I do not know what they have done in the past to give my opinion about them and say if they are good or bad.
All that I can say is that both of them have their good and bad sides, because I perfect politician just does not exist, you always are going to listen some kind of complain from someone. There is no way for a president to satisfy every citizen in the country, it does not exist in our society, which is ruled by the capitalism, which has become even more influent in the world.
After a couple of months here I could realize that, at least in this city, people and students seen to does not like Barack Obama that much as I thought they would like. Mostly because he is favor of some things that we as Christians are against.
I do not know who I want to become president of the U.S.A, since I am not an American citizen I do not really think about it, but I can say that I think Barack Obama is going to win, my thought is only based on the statistics of the web site.

    1. Great job on your essay, Eddie! Your essay was very factual and thorough. It is interesting that you are getting the chance to learn about the American political process and how elections are decided. You can compare this to how government leaders are chosen in Brazil. With the election polls changing daily it is hard to tell who might win the election at this point since it is so close to voting day. Currently the 2012 presidential election is a toss-up.

  5. I don't think I did this right but never the less I did it.The 2012 presidential race is made up of two candidates, the incumbent, President Obama who is democrat and Mitt Romney the republican candidate for president. ABC news shows them in almost a tie, Obama 49% and Romney at 48%.
Obama is shown by ABC news to be ahead of Romney in several areas that are important: Handling the deficit, handling the budget and taxes. Another issue where Obama is ahead is in personal likability and in empathy. People think, according to ABC, that Obama understands what people who are having financial troubles are feeling. Obama leads in empathy by ten points, with the numbers at fifty percent for Obama and forty percent for Romney.
If the trend continues as it is, the incumbent, President Obama will have two hundred and fifty five Electoral College votes and Romney will have two hundred and six. To win the election, two hundred and seventy Electoral College votes are needed.
Romney chose Paul Ryan as a running mate, hoping to win the Electoral College votes in Wisconsin. Paul Ryan is a senator from Wisconsin.
I feel like Romney would be the better president for America, not that I don’t like Obama I just feel like he has his time and hasn’t done the best with it so let’s give someone new a chance. I mean Obama has done a good job! And it’s truly not all his fault, but I think we should let someone new in and see what they can do! And I don’t want to offend anyone that goes for Obama so I apologize if I did, just my opinion.

  6. ABC has predicted that President Barack Obama will win. i really hope that governor Mitt Romney wins the election of 2012 because has much better christian morals and ideas for the United States. like his plans to cut the national debt. And in the presidential debate President Obama never really gave governor Romney any chance to speak he always interrupted him. so obviously its going to look like Obama is going to win because he defiantly augured better in the debate in that Governor Romney never got to argue back. Obama has had his chance to make america better but he has done a very very poor job at it. the national debt has increased over 3 trillion dollars since Obama has been president and the debt is now at over 16 trillion dollars I think anyone who thinks our debt inst the greatest of our problems should take a look at this http://www.usdebtclock.org/it amazes me i could live on the amount of money this goes up in one day for the rest of my life just watch this go up for awhile and think about how much money that is. I think Governor Romney should be our president next. i mean what could it hurt its either going to get better or stay at the same rate. and Obama hasn't done a think to help it. its someone elses turn to try. and lastly and more importantly Govenor Romney is anti-abortion and anti- same sex marriage. For those soporting Obama. i hope you change your mind

  7. The article I chose was “Who Get Momentum After the Second Debate.” This was the second presidential debate between Barrack Obama the incumbent, who is the Democratic candidate, and Mitt Romney, who is the Republican candidate. In this article Jake Tapper states that it was an intense debate and that there was a palpable dislike between the candidates. Joe Biden said that Obama passionately committed to do something about the plight of the middle class and that he did an incredible job of pointing out what we did and what we are going to do. He also stated that Romney and Ryan are not very clear and that he was confident about the next 20 days because of that. On the other hand, Paul Ryan stated that Mitt Romney won the debate because Americans saw a leader with a proven track record of getting things done, bringing people together, and creating jobs. ABC says that Obama won the debate. Personally, I think that Mitt Romney should be elected. Obama has many views that go against the Christian values our country was founded on such as abortion and same sex marriage. Romney has better views on things, he is pro- life and against same sex marriage. He is also a successful businessman and did improve the economy for his state as governor. Romney’s plan focuses on decreasing spending to reduce our nation’s debt.

  8. I am choosing to talk about the 2012 election with President Obama and Vice President Biden, the incumbent, and Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan as the challengers. President Obama is the representative for the democratic party and ran unaposed in the spring. The representative for the Republican party is Mitt Romney, who had many challengers in the beginning that ended up dropping out of the election. By looking at the ABC website, which is by the way a liberal media source to begin with, it looks like they have President Obama leading in the poles. So it's no guess that they want Obama to win by looking at the articles listed ,they have more "Obama Praising" articles than they do that agree with Romney-Ryan ticket. The I article to read and write about I chose is the Vice-Presidential debate hosted right here in the state of Kentucky, which in my option is a great honor to be represented in such a way. I was lucky enough to attend this event so i feel as if its a great opportunity to express how I felt about it. I felt as if their issues on the tax were very important. Biden says that he would like to raise taxes on the 1% and Ryan says that they would like to cut taxes for everyone because it stimulates job creation. I have to agree more toward Romney-Ryan on that one because its obvious if they cut taxes that gets more money in the pockets of the people, and if they people have money they go and spend it at our businesses which get the economy back up and going again. I feel as if, if we do what the Obama-Biden ticket wants that it won't necessarily help anyone just take unfairly away from the people who have worked hard to earn that money and give it away to the lazy butts on unemployment( I do understand that in some cases they aren't lazy and they do need help though.) Also throughout the debate Biden was most defiantly one of the rudest debaters I have ever seen in my whole life. He was worse than the interrupting cow in the knock knock jokes. His demeanor was rude with all the laughs and smirks he made. Obama has done some good things but I don't think he's right for the job. Yes, he has been in politics all his life but that doesn't help him, to me it puts him at a little bit of a disadvantage because of his lack of knowledge in the business world.

  9. I will do my assignment about the researches that have been made about the upcoming presidential elections.
Most of the sources, from ABC News, have Barack Obama from the Democratic Party as the winner of the upcoming presidential elections, he won the elections four years ago, and he is trying to be reelected; however Obama’s opponent, Mitt Romney from the Republican Party is rising. In the Gallup poll, which surveyed likely voters, put Romney ahead 52-45, mentioned in the article “Poll suggests Romney continues surge” by Gregory J. Krieg (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/gallup-poll-suggests-romney-continues-surge/story?id=17511045#.UIDH58XA9dU).
In my opinion, Mitt Romney should be the winner of this election, but unfortunately is not what the researchers show, because Obama has been the Unites States for four years, and all the things he did in this past four years didn’t really changed what was supposed to, the educational system still the same, the medical system still the same, the only thing that he wants to change is the taxes, making higher taxes, because all of the debt that has been raising and to save the companies that are failing. However this action make the population unsatisfied, and to save the companies that are falling, do the people have to pay price for that? It isn’t the people fault.
Mitt Romney should have a chance to be the president and implant his ideas and ideals, which in my opinion is better for the Christian community in the Unites States; he would care more about the Christian community than Barack Obama.

    1. You did a great job on your report, Gabriel. I agree with you that Mitt Romney should be our next President. Governor Romney’s moral values line up with our Christian values unlike those of President Obama’s. As the Bible says in Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” If America turns against the Christian principles it was founded on we can no longer expect God’s blessing.

  10. The Candidates for the 2012 election is Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. Mitt Romney is a Republican and Barack Obama is Democrat. The vote is almost 50/50. ABC news believes that Obama will win the upcoming election. President Obama has 50 percent votes and Mitt Romney is at 44 percent votes. 50-40 voters believe that Obama understands the economic situation more than Romney and think he is more likeable. Obama repeals Bush tax cuts for households earning more than $250,000. He also wants to raise taxes on wealthy. He believes in stimulus spending and tax cuts to grow the economy. Obama signed the 2010 healthcare bill. This is so that patients do not have to buy health insurance or pay a fine. He supports illegal immigrants and paying for their fines.
Obama, on the other hand, is different in his beliefs. He wants to make Bush cuts permanent and lower corporate tax rate. Romney believes it’s not appropriate for the whole US and wants to repeal. He wants people to buy their own healthcare and allowing insurance across state lines. Romney does not like immigration and wants to make the official language for the US to be English.

    1. You had a very good essay this week Pat! I really enjoyed reading it. I also did my essay on the 2012 election. I disagree with Obama supporting illegal immigrants and that he pays their fines! I do not think that we should raise taxes on the wealthy. The wealthy people are the reason that not as fortunate can make money. If they began getting taxed more then they would not want to work as hard at what they are doing to make all that money. Also, if it is decided that the rich are taxed more so the poor can have money from welfare, why would the poor even try to find a job? They would already be getting paid from the government.

  11. For this week’s assignment I chose Mitt Romney because I am a true supporter. Mitt Romney is “against” or is in the presidential race against President Barak Obama. Mitt Romney is the Republican and President Barak Obama is the Democrat. There have been two debates so far and both have been very interesting to hear. ABC has predicted that President Barak Obama may be re-elected. But, In the Senate and in the House, according to the poll it shows that Mitt Romney has a greater chance of defeating President Barak Obama. First, Mitt Romney was born in Michigan and he is a governor, as most of us should know. Now that he is running for President of the United Sates, he chose Paul Ryan to be the Vice President if they win. The three main subjects that I think are most important to me are the taxes, education, and health care. Romney in the debate’s and in pass times has expressed his ideas AGAINST ObamaCare. I read a quote saying, “If I am President, we’re going to get rid of ObamaCare and return under our Constitution…” Secondly, are the taxes. Mitt Romney supports cutting the estate taxes. Here is how he stated it, "There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it -- that that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. ... These are people who pay no income tax. ... [M]y job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives." And lastly is the education. Romney is for the No Child left Behind Program with the later President Bush. He also supports abstinence education in schools.

  12. The incumbent is our Democratic President Barrack Obama and his challenger is Republican Governor Mitt Romney. ABC believes that President Barrack Obama will be re-elected. Romney started to jab at Obama by bringing up the recent and aweful events in Libya. Obama though played it off like he did when we first heard of the tragic news. I believe that we should elect Romney as president because his values are like much of mine own. He is a great businessman, which might help with our economy, and has Christian values, though he is a Mormon. Obama ha promised many things but has failed to do anything but to sadly support same sex marriage. abcnews.go.com/Politics

  13. It seems like all we’ve heard for the past year is the election. Well, now the time has finally come to elect a President of the United States. The public has two predominant choices incumbent Democrat Barack Obama and the Republican challenger Mitt Romney. According to ABC News, Obama is predicted to win re-election because he carries the states with some of the most electoral votes. As a “tradition” of sorts, the candidate the wins the state of Ohio usually becomes President. And again, according to ABC News, Ohio is a toss-up/lean Democrat state. With that being said, my ideals and vision for America aligns more closely to the views of the Republican Party, so my personal opinion it would be beneficial to the public to elect Mitt Romney to lead our country for the next four years. Like most have said, I am in no way trying to offend or even disrespect the Obama administration; I have no idea what it is liked to be president in such a hectic time. I am only practicing my freedom of speech and voicing my opinion. For my article I chose the Rasmussen Report daily Presidential Poll-which was accurate in the presidential election of 2004 and 2008. According to this poll on October 17, 2012, they have Obama winning swing states Ohio, Nevada, and New Hampshire; While the predict Romney will win swing states North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia. The overall electoral outcome that the Rasmussen has released is Obama-237 and Romney 235 with 66 toss up votes. No matter the outcome of the election, we as Christians should pray and respect those placed in authority.

  14. For this week’s assignment we will have to know the definition of "Incumbent" most of you know that the definition is the holder of an office or ecclesiastical benefice. So that brings us to our first question. Who is the incumbent, who is the challenger (include the party affiliation) and who does ABC News think will win? The incumbent is Obama (Democratic representative). His challenger is Romney-Ryan (Republican representative). The ABC News link predicts that Obama will win.
The article I read was about how the Southern are troubled it voting for Romney-Ryan because of his religious background of being a Mormon. I personally along with hopefully all of you do not agree with the Mormon faith. I feel like if I was old enough to vote it would be hard for me to decide as a Christian not as a politician who to vote for. www.reuters.com
In my opinion Romney-Ryan should win. Even though he is not a Christian he has very good points and gets the message across that he wants to help us get out of debt. Now weather or not that will happen I guess we will see. But I feel like if Obama is re-elected back into office our debt will keep raising and as though it will do the same with Romney hopefully he can helps us keep it going us slow instead of like a billion per day. I mean goodness that’s a lot of money to spend in one day. Who knows maybe if Romney is elected into office somebody can witness to him and show him Gods amazing love he has for us and help him to become a Christian and walk with God. :)

ABC Electoral College has estimated that Mr. Obama will win the election by several votes... but ABC does agree that Romney has 48% of the votes and Obama has 49%. In the last presidential debate Obama definitely decided to speak up, but Mitt Romney had many good points. I think Romney would be great for our country because he has a waayyyy better view on things. Like he is pro-life and is also against same-sex marriage. 16. The Massachusetts senate race is between incumbent Scott Brown, from the Republican Party, and the Democratic challenger, Elizabeth Warren. This race has become the most expensive Senate race in the entire country this year. Already $53 million dollars has been raised by both of the candidates combined. ABC’s new website says that the race is currently a toss-up. Republican Scott Brown won a special election that succeeded the late Senator Ted Kennedy. He is working to win a full six-year term. Elizabeth Warren is a Harvard Law professor who hopes to unseat brown. Warren has out raised Brown by almost $5 million dollars in the last three months.
I believe that Scott Brown should hold his Senate Seat. Brown favors a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and believes this will limit government spending. Scott Brown is a free enterprise advocate. He believes in keeping taxes low which will help the middle class. Scott Brown also believes in repealing Obamacare. Elizabeth Warren does not oppose the Affordable Care Act also known as Obamacare. Obamacare is no more than socialized medicine. Warren also believes that our economy should be based on a “level playing field.” This approach does not encourage ambition and hard work. Our economy based on the free enterprise system encourages the growth of both small and large business. As small business grows, jobs will be created. With the high unemployment rate in our nation, an increase in jobs is greatly needed. Senator Scott Brown believes that creating jobs is his number one priority. He believes that raising taxes weakens our economy and puts more people out of work.

  17. For my history assignment I decided to write about Mitt Romney. Romney is a Republican from the state of Massachusetts. His opponent is the current president Barack Obama who is a democrat. ABC believes that Obama will win although he does not have the electoral votes necessary to win yet. The candidates are currently getting ready for their last debate. I think that this one last debate will probably determine who wins the election. The main issue in this election is how to handle the economy and right now Obama 47-45 percent on how to handle that particular issue. I want Mitt Romney to win the election for a few different reasons. First off, I believe that Romney has the better plan for rebuilding our economy, while Obama doesn’t really seem to have a plan at all. Our Nation is $16,000,000,000,000 in dept and our national dept is increasing by another trillion every year, the last thing our country needs is to have more dept under Obama. An even more important reason why I want Romney to win is because Barack Obama support abortion but Romney does not. It is a tragedy that we allow such a disgusting form of murder to be allowed in our country and I think that Romney is going to take steps to greatly reduce the number of abortions that take place in our country. One thing that I do disagree with Romney on is the environment. Part of Romney’s 5-point plan is to make North America energy independent. While I agree that this is initially a good idea it involves things like off-shore oil drilling and possibly strip mining which ultimately destroys beautiful parts God’s creation.

  18. For this weeks assignment I chose to do the 2012 Presidential election featuring Barack Obama and Joe Biden the incumbent, and Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan the challengers. The ABC news website is favoring that Barrack Obama will win the upcoming election. Although, they have Mitt Romney winning the overall national popular vote they have Obama winning the college electorate vote and ultimate another four year term. Mitt Romney’s points in my opinion are so much more Christian based than that of Obama. For example, Obama supports same sex marriage and thinks its perfectlt okay even though it is clear in the Bible for there to be no same sex marriage. Romney strongly opposes making his views more Christian based. Another example of this point is supporting abortion. Barrack Obama supports abortion? That is 100% murder no matter how you look at it and one of the 10 commandments is thou shall not murder. I think our leaders are getting away from our countrys motto “In GOD We Trust” because they are clearly going against everything the Bible says. For the up coming election I am strongly for Mitt Romney and his running partner Paul Ryan. The reason I am for them is because they just have so many more Chritian based polocies. Of course not everything that they are going to do I am going to agree but over all they have a better plan for our country. I think we would have the best chance at coming out of our tremendous debt and getting back to the basic God fearing country if we chose these two candidtates for the presidention election for 2012.

One of the main things that this election is about is the debt . obama has had four years to deal we the always rise debt but has just made it worse. I really want Romney to win because I think he is better for our government and he can create more jobs and bring down the national debt.

    1. Hunter I really like the facts you brought through your essay. I too want Romney to win, I just don't know if he is strong enough to deal with foreign affairs, because it's not easy to handle certain situations that can potentially have huge reproccusions. Yet if he wins he will be almost the perfect choice for helping fix the economy. Great Job!!

  21. For this week, I have picked the 2012 presidential race. The incumbent, Mr. Barack Obama. He is the Democrat candidate. When he took office he was put in a bad situation but I will talk more about it later on. His opponent is Govenor Mitt Romney. He is a very successful bussiness man, and he was also a pastor.
In this election, you have two very different candidates. One hand you have a man who is not really good with money or economics, guess who that is? Mr. Obama. Then on the other hand you have a very good economics man but kinda lacks the authority to deal with foreign affairs.
ABC has Obama winning another term in office. Which I can see it happening. Not that I want it to, but it just probably will.
Mr Obama deals with some very sensetive topics to me. I don't think abortion should be legal, yet Obama is pro choice. I don't think gay marriage is right, yet Obama doesn't see it that way.
In a quote from Paul Ryan, "It's a dangerous path, it's a path that grows government, restricts freedom and liberty, and compromises those values, those Judeo-Christian, Western civilization values that made us such a great and exceptional nation in the first place,". Mr. Ryan is expressing his opinion due too the fact that Obama is trying to change this country. He's views are very socialistic. Our country values should not be about us. it should be about our focus on God and doing his will for us. We shouldn't look at every situation and say how can we help to make the United States look good. We need to look at every situation and say how can we help to let God's light shine through.

  22. For this assignment, I am choosing to write about the election of 2012. In this election, the incumbent would be from the democratic side, Mr. Barack Obama, his opponent being Governor Mitt Romney from the Republican Party. ABC seems to think that Barak Obama is going to win. Considering that I am writing this after the election is over, I can see that ABC was spot on. Through research of the 2012 election I learned so much. I learned that Obama won the votes of the most important states, swing states. The election almost seemed close to me. But in the end, Obama won it all. In my opinion I think that Governor Mitt Romney should have won. Romney made so many good points and arguments in this election; it's really kind of ashamed that he did not win. Although he is not a Christian I feel like he still would have been a better choice for our great country. I think that he should have won because Obama has made a mess being in office, he has had his chance, I think Romney should have gotten the chance to take this nation out of the big mess we are in right now. Probably the biggest reason I think that Mitt Romney should have won is because he is pro-life, and Obama is not. Romney said that he would stop the federal funding to abortion clinics and that plays a big roll in who I want to be the leader of my country.
